Base salary & commission structure
Territory: Chicago plus key selected markets
We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic sales executive with experience selling to advertising and public relations firms, to identify sales opportunities within the agency world. This candidate will be familiar with the AD and PR landscape. The candidate of choice will have a solid ability to analyze appropriate industry drivers, obtain meetings and build relationships with agencies, and be extremely effective at cultivating referrals.
The candidate we are sourcing will be an established performer who had a proven track record and can demonstrate his or her documented success in a previous business to business sales environment within the advertising and public relations world. Experience in making effective presentations to groups, decision makers, and potential clients is necessary.
Is able to generate enthusiasm around the work place and when engaging potential business partners. The candidate will also have a passion for entertainment and/or sports world.
Understanding of the competition in the marketplace, knowing who the competitors are and what differentiates Burns is key to the success of this role. This candidate should be aware of current industry trends and be proactive on expanding personal market knowledge of industry opportunities among all platforms & emerging products.Maintain customer satisfaction and accountability through consultative selling.Engage in all stages of the sales cycle, from prospecting to developing customer rapport, setting meetings, expanding sales footprint with customers on record, preparing and delivering sales presentations to new and existing clients, and developing new relationships by introducing Burns’ services to decision makers at AD and PR agencies.
The successful candidate will be comfortable with meeting appropriate monthly and quarterly sales goals, while maintaining price and product integrity to ensure maximum company profitability.
Understands the digital marketplace and how advertisers use digital products and strategies to accomplish client business goals, and how the digital landscape is evolving.
Understands how digital platforms work together and how to sell content to clients.
Ability drive innovative advanced advertising/digital solutions as it relates to Burns’ services.
What You Need:
The successful candidate is a hunter and must have a proven track record selling. Previous experience selling a service including cold-calling, meeting appointment setting, prospecting and lead generation required.
- B.S or B.A. degree required; MBA a plus
- 2-5+ years applicable work experience
- Strategic approach and selling style
- Must have demonstrated strong communication skills and presentation abilities
- Professional, tenacious and outgoing demeanor
- Must be a quick thinker and have the ability to intelligently counter objections and propose reality based solutions
- Demonstrated outstanding organizational skills: must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deals
- Experience with advertising and/or public relations
